About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the operations of the Apparatus Section, including scheduling and coordinating the maintenance and repair of automotive and related equipment.
- Develop and write detailed specifications for fire department apparatus, working closely with other management team members to formulate effective policies.
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to the maintenance staff, ensuring the use of the latest methods and technologies in the repair and maintenance of fire apparatus and related equipment.
Qualifications:
- At least five (5) years of administrative and supervisory experience in fleet maintenance operations, including responsibility for heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive and heavy equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance procedures and the latest industry practices.
