Rosenbauer/Freightliner Medium Rescue

CLIFTON FORGE- Sharon VFD in Alleghany County has taken delivery of a new Rosenbauer medium duty Rescue that will be designated as Squad 86.  The 4×4 Freightliner M2-106 cab and chassis is equipped with a Cummins ISC 300hp engine.

The 14′ rescue body is constructed of 3/16″ aluminum and features lots of storage capability, custom storage shelves, pull outs, and custom tool mounting provided by CW Williams.  Access to the top of the body is made possible through the use of Rosenbauer’s exclusive “Safe Step” ladder.  There are large coffin type compartments on the top of each side of  the body.  A KL475 Command Light light tower is mounts at the top front of the body.  A transverse compartment at the front of the body allows for long pull out trays and back board storage.  The truck is also equipped with a 20kW Onan PTO generator.

This is the fifth Rosenbauer that has been placed in Alleghany County.
