ROSENBAUER/SPARTAN  1500/750  CUSTOM SIDE MOUNT PUMPER

HICKORY– The City of Hickory Fire Department has taken delivery of their third Rosenbauer Custom Pumper.  This most recent unit was supplied on an extra long Spartan Gladiator cab and chassis that includes a transverse compartment on the back of the cab accessible from both sides of the cab as well as from within.  The truck is equipped with a 445hp Detroit Diesel engine and and EVS4000 transmission.   A Willburt N-6-3000 light tower is mounted on the cab roof.

Extinguishing resources include a 750 gallon booster tank and a Waterous 1500 gpm CSU pump.  The pump is outfitted with a Feecon foam system.  All discharges are on the officers side pump panel.  There is 6″ suction on the rear of the truck and a 2 1/2″ suction on the drivers side pump panel.  A 2 1/2″ discharge is also plumbed to the front bumper extention.

The Rosenbauer fully extruded EXT body has full height roll up doors including a full height door on the rear.  Note that there is no paint on the body which reduces concern and potential future cost associated with paint damage.  The body has internal storage for ladders and pike poles and will carry a Harrison 8kW hydraulic generator.
