ROSENBAUER/FORDÂ 500/250Â Mini Pumper
Dungannon Vol. Fire Department, Scott County, Virginia
DUNGANNON– The Dungannon VFD in Scott County, Virginia has taken delivery of a new Mini Pumper built by Rosenbauer. The truck was built on a Ford F550 four door with a 300 hp diesel engine.
Dungannon was looking for a truck suited to first response on wrecks and wildland incidents. When Salesman Mike White discussed the capabilites of Rosenbauer’s exclusive NH pump and Rosenbauer’s FixMix foam system, they had found their solution. The truck will only carry 250 gallons of water but the Rosenbauer pump and foam system will make the most of it. The Rosenbauer NH20 pump is rated at 500 gpm and produces both normal and high pressure discharges. The high pressure side of the pump is plumbed to a booster line. Mated with the FixMix foam system, Dungannon will bring CAFS-like foam to bear on any car fire or wildland incident.
The Rosenbauer FX body is built from 3/16″ aluminum and has full height, full depth compartments all around. There is an onboard 5.5kW Onan gas generator that will power scence lights and other utilities. The truck carries a brush guard and 12,000lb winch at the front of the cab and has winch recievers at the rear and both sides to assist in vehicle stablization at wrecks.
